When he went into the hospital the moon had just met up with his natal Neptune. What ever illusions or misconceptions he might have had would be amplified by his emotions, Possibly resulting in paranoia

Having just passing his natal mars Venus and Jupiter he would have already been in a heightened emotional state, however when the moon came into the same sign as his Natal sun all of that emotional turmoil would come to the surface, right in his face. Mars was in Gemini at the time opposing both his Natal sun and the transiting moon. This opposition could have made it seem like the world desired and acted based on surface level facts. It looked like people needed tables and clear definitions when he didn’t even fully understand what emotional state of being he was in.

Not to mention that all of the planets we have currently in Aries inconjuct the Natal planets he has in Scorpio. So since Aries is the day time of mars and scorpio is the night time. People around him were probably waiting for him to ask for help. To show his emotional state of being. This mis understanding probably prevented anyone from asking and probing into those areas even though he might have really needed it. Scorpio is intense so you can understand reluctance to talk about touchy subjects with him. The day he dies - April 9

I find it interesting to point out that after the moon met his Natal Neptune in Sag, it met up with the transiting Neptune in Pisces. Neptune is the ruler of the sea, so dreams and the subconscious mind are its domain. Its almost like he was in a state of limbo, an internal dream world until the moon and Neptune conducted in the last sign, the end of the road. Which happens to be in the sign that is opposite his Natal Moon. This looks like the releasing of the soul.
